Publication Ethic

International Journal of Peatland Research and Innovation (IJoPRI) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Pusat Unggulan Iptek Gambut dan Kebencanaan (PUI-GK)/ Center for Peatland and Disaster Studied (CPDS) Universitas Riau. This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing articles in this journal, including authors, editor-in-chief, editorial board, peer-reviewers and publishers.

 

Journal Publication Ethics Guidelines

The publication of articles in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Peatland Research and Innovation (IJoPRI) is an important building block in the development of a coherent and respected knowledge network. This is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree on standards of ethical behavior that are expected for all parties involved in the act of publishing: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers and the public.

 

Publication decision

The Editor of the International Journal of Peatland Research and Innovation (IJoPRI) is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers should always drive such decisions. Editors may be guided by the discretion of the journal's editorial board and limited by applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editors may consult other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

 

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, then these have been properly cited or cited.

 

Duties of Reviewer

Contribute to Editorial Decisions. Peer reviews assist editors in making editorial decisions and through editorial communication with authors can also assist authors in improving papers. The main responsibilities include conducting objective and constructive peer reviews, evaluating the scientific quality and originality of submitted manuscripts, ensuring academic integrity and ethical publication standards, providing scholarly feedback and recommendations for manuscript improvement, and supporting the journal in maintaining high-quality international publication standards

 

Duties of Authors

Authors of the original research report must present an accurate account of the work done as well as an objective discussion of its significance. The underlying data must be represented accurately on paper. A paper must contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the work. Statements that are deceptive or intentionally inaccurate are unethical and unacceptable behavior.

 

Duties of Editor

Editors receive, review, and follow up on complaints from all parties involved in journal publishing. The editor is responsible for deciding each article that has been submitted to the journal is appropriate and meets the criteria for publication. Editors can discuss with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
